How To Be Productive in 2021?

We are talking a lot about improving our life lately. And there is a ton of tips and tricks to do. But are those really helpful if you are in the mood to lay down and do nothing except breathing?

It’s hard to go on vacation because of coronavirus, you can’t relax because of the things going on in the world, and your job has become such a boring nightmare you haven’t even imagined. I’ve been there too. So here are a few things that highly productive people do to stay in the shape.

#1 Start little by little.

You won’t make yourself do the job if it is huge as hell. So start your week with 2-3 things on the To-Do list. And make it as interactive as you can. For example, check the emails; go on the work-meeting; make a TO-Do list for a week. Just like that, you’ll start to work easily.

#2 Inspiration comes with the process.

Do not expect that you’ll be productive right away. It takes time to train yourself to do tasks (read more about How To Create a Habit). Sometimes you will need to just start working no matter what. And if after an hour you can’t manage to focus,

#3 Take 10-min breaks.

Use this time to abstract yourself. Let your mind dream, make some coffee or tea, meditate, get your snacks… Do whatever you can but relax. If you can’t start working it’s probably because you have a lot on your mind and it overwhelms you.

#4 Try the 80/20 method.

Apparently, it is the most popular technique that productive people are using. So it says that you only need to do 20% of the effort to receive 80% of the result. How does it work? You simply detect 20% of the most impactful work from your daily To-Do list and make it done. Then you can cut the other 80% of not so important tasks and use this time to do things you like. The hard part here is to find this 20% of really important work.

#5 Unplug.

I always say that it matters how you start your day. It shouldn’t be just you and your phone in the morning and close to the evening time as well. Most wealthy people stick to this rule (check the 7 habits of rich people). First of all, when you’ve just started your way to a better life the social media can make you feel jealous or not worse to be That person. And if we even know that those pictures don’t show the true life of others, in the morning or evening (this is the time when we are relaxed and have time to think) we can really get upset and our productivity will go away for a long time.

#6 Multitasking isn’t always great.

That’s good if you can reply to messages while editing the video while eating your lunch. Yes, you’ll make things faster but the other half of the day will seem endless. That’s because you’ve overwhelmed your mind by multitasking and now you won’t be able to focus that well. And, by the way, checking your social media counts as multitasking as well. Just be straight with work. It’s better to use the 80/20 method we talked about earlier and do the other tasks you want in that 80% part.
